Things are moving forward in tremendous ways at Common Ground. We are grateful to The Hardy Plant Society for a generous grant that will literally be "seed" money to get the garden going. Additional thanks go to the Radnor United Methodist Church for generously lending us enough land to construct 15-20 raised beds for vegetables and flowers.
We will begin construction on Saturday, April 2nd at 10:00am. Please bring your hammers, saws, nails, etc for the construction day. The following weekend we hope to have the soil delivered. So on April 9, bring your shovels, rakes and wheel barrows.
The church is also having a cleanup day on April 9th. So any gardeners who will be coming out to finish construction on the raised beds, please plan to lend a hand to the church members as they clean up their property that day.
The list of gardeners is growing fast. We have a total of roughly 20 beds available, and already have 12-14 gardeners who have committed to a lot. If you are interested in claiming a little piece of common ground, please let us know by March 31st.
